OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

• To deliver goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner as outlined by the Rotating and/or Distribution Manager.
• Check after each delivery that the load is safely stacked
• Support Company Mission Statement
• Supporting the company policies and procedures in relation to Health and Safety and HR
  

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• To deliver goods to customer locations throughout the whole of the Untied Kingdom
• To unload goods from the back of the vehicle and deliver them into customer premises
• Ensure that goods are restacked on the vehicle to ensure that axle weight limitations are adhered to and that goods are evenly distributed throughout the vehicle
• Ensure that all paperwork has been correctly sign off by the customer
• Ensure the safety and safe working practices of any van persons who may be assigned to you
• To pick up any goods from the customers and ensure that these goods are in a resalable state.
• To contact the offices should you have any queries or customer queries
• To notify the Maintenance Manager in the event of any accidents or general problems involving the work vehicle
• To work within the tachograph regulations
• To ensure all paperwork including delivery notes is signed off before leaving the premises
• To ensure all goods are delivered to where the customer desires
• Maybe required to assist Nightshift in loading of vehicles when work is not completed by 6am.
• Follow correct company procedures in line with ISO 9002
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
• Other duties as and when required by the Manager or Director
  

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• One years 7.5 tonne driving experience
• Some experience of multi-drop work
• Map reading skills
• Knowledge of city routes(desirable)
• Customer relation and communication skills
• Experience of working in a distribution or warehouse environment
• Tachograph experience
• The ability to undertake and complete paperwork
• Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety rules and regulations
