JOB INFORMATION

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

• Support Senior Nightshift Supervisor in the effective running of the department.
• Ensure all products are picked and loaded correctly and on time.
• Support Company Mission Statement
• Supporting the company policies and procedures in relation to Health and Safety and HR

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist to ensure all staff register in and out of the building
• Read all e-mails and take notes where and when appropriate and discuss any issues raised with the senior nightshift supervisor.
• Assist to ensure that all picking is done in a safe and controlled manner
• Assist to ensure all gates are locked and security is good throughout premises
• Check if any individual deliveries need palletising in conjunction with the senior nightshift supervisor
• Assist to ensure all delivery vehicles have been loaded safely and correctly
• Ensure that weight is evenly distributed throughout vehicle
• Help to ensure all delivery vehicles are loaded in correct order
• Ensure all delivery vehicles are equipped with correct paperwork and equipment
• Assist to ensure re-stocking is carried out when time permits
• Report any stock shortages to the senior nightshift supervisor
• Assist when necessary to fill out any paperwork / forms i.e. holiday , sickness etc
• Help to ensure that warehouse is left in a clean and tidy condition
• Follow correct company procedures in line with ISO 9002
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
• Other duties as and when required by the senior nightshift supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Basic Outlook
• Excellent communication with all levels
• Previous experience of man-management skills
• Positive attitude
• Experience of distribution and/or night work
• Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety rules and regulations
