Our staff
In 2004 and in recognition of our people’s efforts in getting Zenith to its position within the UK market, over one million share options were
granted to staff who had been with the group for over a year under an approved EMI share option scheme. Such schemes do, we believe, foster a more goal congruent set of teams and individuals that results in an enhanced and exceptional company performance.
Our community
Zenith now employs 385 people and at its corporate head-office of Welham Green, Hertfordshire is a major employer of people from Hatfield and surrounding areas. Relationships with local businesses and sponsored community activities remain an important part of our belief in strengthening and fostering ties with local and regional activities.
Our environment
Zenith’s Health and Safety programme of commitment to Health, Safety and Environment, includes in-house arrangements and Customer support.
Zenith’s Policy demonstrates their keen interest in Health, Safety and the Environment being proactive from top to bottom of the organisation.
The programme reaches all levels of employees, and encourages their involvement in supporting the Company’s safety initiatives.
The Health and Safety Committee is constituted with terms of reference that give all members a more positive and structured means to actively take part in deciding and rolling out the best safety practices for the business.
Zenith’s overall objective is not only to meet their legal duty of care to its fullest requirements, but also to extend and improve open discussion with
enhanced cooperation between all members of staff without heavy bureaucracy.
Zenith also recognise their customers need to receive clear advice and support in the safe use and handling of Zenith products. In providing clear instructions on Zenith’s products backed up with training for their customers staff, helps them to fully understand the safety instructions that accompany all Zenith’s products.
This complimentary service by Zenith gives added value to their customers as it helps them, as employer’s to meet their own legal duty of care, and also highlights other actions they may be required to put in place, such as carrying out risk assessment for maintaining their own safe system and safe place of work.
Zenith also continues to promote open communications with their customers, to offer health and safety advice in situations where they are able, as a service, and to help customers to meet their own responsibilities on issues connected with Zenith products.
Environmental considerations
Zenith take environmental damage limitation seriously and support their Environmental policy with an environmentally friendly programme of recycling materials contracting with Pearce Recycling Group to waste manage all packaging materials, cardboard, plastic, paper and timber.
Zenith’s operations include Hygiene systems using chemical cleaning products, and have a strict policy on spillage and clean up procedures using well defined clean up products, and established methods for disposal. Where possible, waste products are returned to source to ensure their environmentally friendly disposal.
The Company’s systems and procedures are regularly audited under the ISO 9000 standards procedure and their Health and Safety Management Audit System.
